This policy applies to:

• our website, thedigitalfoundry.xyz
• our mobile applications published on the Apple App Store, including Name Craft and Recipe Craft
• any related services we operate

2. Information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate and improve our services.

a. Information you provide

• Email address and account credentials when you create an account.
• Text you enter into the app, including search queries, recipe requests, and chat messages used to generate names, recipes, and related content.
• Photos you choose to upload, such as fridge or pantry images and dish photos submitted for recipe refinement (Recipe Craft only).

User-generated text and uploaded photos may be stored and associated with your account in order to provide features such as search history, saved recipes, and your personal cookbook.

b. Automatically collected information

• Device and app information such as device type, operating system, and app version.
• Usage data and interaction events, including searches performed and features used.
• Crash reports and performance diagnostics.

We do not collect:

• Precise location data.
• Contacts or address book data.
• Photos, files, or media from your device without your explicit action (Recipe Craft only collects photos you choose to upload).
• Sensitive personal information.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage user accounts.
• Store and display your search history, saved recipes, and cookbook content.
• Generate names, recipes, and related content based on your input.
• Process photos you upload to identify ingredients and refine recipes (Recipe Craft).
• Improve app performance, reliability, and usability.
• Understand feature usage.
• Respond to support requests.

We do not sell personal data.

4. AI processing and human review

Text and photos you provide may be processed by AI systems in order to generate names, recipes, and related content.

In limited cases, user-entered text may be reviewed by a human solely for:

• Customer support.
• Debugging or resolving technical issues.

User content is not reviewed for advertising purposes.

5. Analytics and third-party services

We currently use:

• Apple App Store analytics for usage and performance insights.

We do not use third-party analytics platforms at this time.

We may also use third-party services for:

• Cloud hosting.
• AI processing.

All providers process data only on our behalf and are required to protect it.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to:

• Provide the service.
• Maintain your account, search history, and saved recipes.
• Meet legal or regulatory obligations.

You may delete your account at any time directly within Name Craft or Recipe Craft.
When an account is deleted, associated personal data, stored search queries, and saved recipes are removed or anonymised within a reasonable period, unless retention is legally required.

We do not currently provide a data export feature.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.

These rights can be exercised through in-app account deletion or by contacting us.

8. Children's privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
